BIGGER, BRIGHTER FLAT PANEL TVS

The recently concluded CES 2022 technology show is a great harbinger of what’s to come. OLED TVs are still at the top of most lists for best picture quality, and now this technology is available in both smaller and larger sizes than before. OLED models are now going to be available in 42-inch sizes as well as a whopping 97-inches.

But OLED is not the only high-end image technology. Mini-LED and Samsung’s QLED are also fantastic choices for media rooms and home theaters. Super-bright, incredibly vibrant image quality is standard across all of these, and you can expect the newer mini-LED technology to be more cost-effective than before.

Aside from size and cost reductions, much of the improvement in image quality comes from artificial intelligence advancements in processing in high-end models, which adjust images to how our brains perceive them. It’s yet another way AI is changing the world.

HOME OFFICE AUTOMATION

Over the past two years, home office use exploded with so many working and running businesses from home in the pandemic. That trend is not going away anytime soon as many companies are adopting hybrid and remote-friendly work models.

Expect more innovative solutions for home offices that make it easier to blend home automation with home offices. More solutions will address home office integration like lighting and shading control, using large screens for video conferences and sit-back viewing, and routing audio through soundbars and other high-quality audio speakers.

HIGH-RESOLUTION AND LOSSLESS AUDIO

The high-resolution and lossless audio train started chugging several years ago, but now it’s gone mainstream. This past year Apple Music, the world’s second-leading music streaming service, made lossless and high-resolution options part of its standard subscriptions. Third-place Amazon Music was already offering these options in 2020, adding more ways for people to take full advantage of high-end audio equipment with the convenience of streaming. With the world’s largest subscriber base and integration into more music devices than anyone, we expect Spotify to follow suit in 2022.

What does that mean for you? You can upgrade your whole-home audio experience to the richness of lossless and high-resolution music for a superior listening experience with all the convenience of the services you already use.
